2 on Tuesday- Cancelled Shows

Hi friends! It's Tuesday, so time for 2 on Tuesday. I'm linking up with the sweet Andrea from My Chihuahua bites.

2 on Tuesday

So this week's topic is

What two television shows that have gone off the air do you miss?

I'd say the first one is definitely The Cosby show. Now the earliest recollection of this show was when I was in 4th grade (maybe earlier, but I don't remember if it was on or not). The reason I remember this is b/c our bedtime at that time was 8 pm. And the Cosby show came on at 8. Our parents WOULD NOT let us stay up to watch it.
Anyhow, I loved the show because it showed what real life was like. And what parents really do (discipline, disappointments, family, etc). I feel like now the shows just aren't as wholesome as The Cosby Show was.

My husband and I loved watching King of Queens. We still watch re-runs because it was just SO damn funny. The relationship between Doug, Carrie and Arthur is absolutely hilarious.

I know we're only supposed to have two, but I have to also add these to my list:

Will and Grace. I mean come on, WHO didn't love this group?

The original 90210. I mean come on! Who didn't love this bunch?

Rich Girls on MTV. Do y'all remember this one? It starred Ally Hilfiger (Tommy's daughter) and her best friend, Jamie Gleicher. I think this may have been my first glimpse socialites.

I feel like I'm leaving out a few, but that's it.

What are you favorite past time shows?

  1. Awww, the Cosbys! I didn't even think of this one but it really is a good one.

  2. I loved the Cosby Show.. Will and Grace rock.. Then of course 90201 rocks.. Have a great Tuesday..

  3. You picked such good shows!!! The Cosby Show is classic. You're right...they don't make shows that wholesome anymore. I wish they would!

I love 90210, and of course Will & Grace!

  4. 90210 Great teen show back in the day. We watched Cosby & Roseanne and they had to go to bed.. They're up there with Full House, Home Improvment too.

  5. Who didn't love Cosby Show. Such a good family show. I loved the old cast of 90210. I haven't seen the remake because it will never be as good as the original in my mind.

  6. I liked the original 90210 also...I do miss Kings of Queens as well, me & the hubby always used to watch that.

  7. i remember rich girls! blast from the past!

i don't think there has been a show that measures up to the cosby show. i think modern family comes close though.
